Re-launch, November 2011
Oriel Care Home in Stourbridge, held a grand opening on the 19th November 2011. This follows seven months of building work on our new extension, giving us four new en-suite bedrooms and a beautiful orangery, bathroom, shower room and laundry. The kitchen has been refitted also. Redecorating the corridors and dining room and putting in new artwork around the home.
Oriel has been refurnished with chairs, blinds, economical lighting and new accessories for the dining room and oranger.
Jean Martyn from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ opened the day for us by cutting a ribbon and then entertained the residents and guests on the keyboard and piano.
We are very proud that Oriel celebrates 25 years of excellent care this year, one of our carers June Smallwood has worked here since the home first opened, she was presented with an inscribed carriage clock and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
We had a wonderful day and all the residents, families, friends, neighbours and staff all enjoyed themselves. The proceeds from the day go to the resident’ fund.
