Jane has worked at Oriel for over twelve years, gaining a thorough knowledge of caring for the elderly.

Jane is thoughtful, compassionate and hard-working. With her depth of experience, Jane has gained an NVQ level 4 in care, and also the Registered Manager's Award.

Gail Smith, Cook

Gail Smith has recently joined our staff and works in our Catering Department helping to produce a varied and tasty diet for our residents.

Gail has worked in catering for many years and is qualified to the following levels: City & Guilds level I & II in Basic Food Hygiene & Nutrition (and is currently undertaking level III in Food Hygiene); Quality through Hygiene; Quality through Safety; Pastry Cooks & Patisserie advanced course; City & Guilds General Catering; Advanced Serving Technique; Alcohol Beverage Certificate: Cookery for the Catering Industry; Housekeeping and Catering certificate.

Barbara, Administrator

Barbara's role as Business Administrator means that she is responsible for all the accounting, budgeting, payroll and administration procedures within the home.

Ann Hough, Supervisor

Based in Beech House - Oriel's Close Care Unit - Ann has worked for Oriel Care for many years and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience of caring for the elderly.

Ann is qualified to NVQ level 3.

Angie Parker, Senior Care Supervisor

I have been working for Oriel Care for the last eight years.

I am a care supervisor, qualified in NVQ care level 2. I enjoy my job and have many different and varied roles including assisting the Care Manager.

I find it a very rewarding job.

Marilyn Davenport, Supervisor

I have worked for Oriel Care for the past ten years, gaining a lot of experience in the care of the elderly.

I am jolly, happy and do ball games for the residents, which they enjoy very much.

I am NVQ level 2 trained.

June Smallwood, Supervisor

June is one of the team of care supervisors. She has worked for Oriel Care for the past twenty years, gaining a great deal of experience of caring for the elderly.

June has a very caring nature, and takes residents on outings each week.

Julie Kedian, Supervisor

I have been working at Oriel for the last 14 years and really enjoy the challenge of working with the elderly.

I do a weekly quiz with the residents, which they thoroughly enjoy, and I take them through an exercise programme on Wednesdays.

Kerry Hipkiss, Senior Care Supervisor

Kerry has worked at Oriel for over four years. During that time she has gained many care-related qualifications and a great deal of experience in all aspects of looking after the elderly.

Kerry also assists the Care manager and holds level 3 NVQ in care.

Mary Warner, Kitchen Supervisor

Mary has worked for Oriel for eleven years. She started as a care assistant and was promoted to kitchen supervisor. Mary is a qualified cake decorator, and also hold the Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3.

Ian Collins

Ian is Oriel's handyman. He is extremely good at mending and repairing and is responsible for the general maintenance within the home.
