Prior to admission we will complete a pre-admission assessment of each prospective resident. This is over and above
any assessment carried out by any other care professional and gives us the right to refuse admission if we feel we
cannot appropriately meet the needs of the individual.
On admission every resident will
have an individual plan of care tailored to his or her physical, social and psychological needs. These plans will
be regularly evaluated and will have input from the resident, relatives and other professionals.
We accept residents whose care
is funded by Social Services as well as those who fund their own care. However, Social Services funding does not
cover the full cost of the care we provide and we do expect a ‘top up’ to make up the difference.
Although we do not have
dedicated respite beds, if we have a vacancy, we will take someone for short-term respite care. Charges will be
calculated on a daily basis.

Fees & Funding
At present the fees are payable on the first of every month, in advance.
Fees cover all personal care,
food, accommodation, light, heat, continence products and laundry.
Clothing, toiletries, magazines
and newspapers, hairdressing, chiropody, spectacles, dentures and some social events etc. are charged at your fee
plus cost. These are added to your monthly invoice as personal expenses.
The fees will be reviewed at the
beginning of each financial year (April).
If you are considering
residential care and are concerned that your capital will simply disappear, we suggest that you take help and
advice from independent specialists who can provide advice on funding care.
